BIOGRAPHY
Dr Julia Nowack is an Associate Professor of Animal Physiology interested in various eco-physiological research questions related to the thermoregulation and energy expenditure of mammals and birds. This includes (but is not limited to) energy saving adaptations such as torpor use, heat production mechanisms such as nonshivering thermogenesis in brown adipose tissue or muscle, as well as individual differences in physiological and behavioural traits that influence animal survival.
