BIOGRAPHY

PhD Researcher in Aquatic Invasive Species at Liverpool John Moores University, fully funded by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA), Northern Ireland.

My research focuses on forecasting and managing aquatic invasive species to safeguard ecosystem services and support the sustainable blue economy. Using environmental DNA (eDNA), trophic ecology, and spatial modelling, I develop applied decision-support tools to inform biosecurity planning, fisheries management, and conservation policy.

Current work centres on invasive species dynamics across Northern Ireland and the North Atlantic, integrating ecological data with management frameworks to improve early detection, risk assessment, and spatially targeted intervention strategies.
