BIOGRAPHY

I am a PhD student in the School of Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University. My research focuses on suicide prevention within Emergency Department settings, with a particular emphasis on the role, experiences, and attitudes of non-clinical staff supporting individuals presenting in suicidal crisis.

My doctoral project, “Forgotten Frontline”: The Role, Experiences and Attitudes of Non-Clinical Emergency Department Staff in the Care of People Presenting in Suicidal Crisis, uses a mixed methods design to develop a comprehensive understanding of this under-researched workforce and their contribution to acute mental health care.

Prior to my PhD, I completed both my BSc and MSc using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), developing a strong foundation in qualitative approaches and lived experience research.
