Dr Salih Faruk Cibiz is a Lecturer in Innovation Management at Liverpool Business School, Liverpool John Moores University. He teaches and supervises students across undergraduate and postgraduate business and management programmes, including MSc International Business Management. His academic interests include innovation, international business, entrepreneurship, women’s leadership, digital transformation, sustainability, employability, responsible AI, and practice-oriented learning.

Dr Cibiz holds a PhD from the University of Sarajevo, where his doctoral research examined the adoption of contemporary digital platforms in healthcare systems and services. His wider research and teaching interests are informed by over a decade of experience in higher education across the UK, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Türkiye, as well as professional experience in international consultancy, healthcare entrepreneurship, project leadership, marketing management, business management, and cross-border business development.

He is committed to industry engagement, employer-informed education, and practice-based learning, particularly through consultancy projects, business collaboration, and international partnerships. He has also contributed to the organisation of international academic conferences and edited conference outputs, reflecting his engagement with scholarly communities and knowledge exchange. Alongside his academic and professional work, Dr Cibiz is involved in charitable and community-based organisations, including trustee roles in UK education and community charities, reflecting his commitment to civic engagement, inclusion, and social impact. Dr Cibiz is also a member of CMBE and MCIM, reflecting his commitment to professional standards in business and management education, marketing, and industry-informed learning.
