Jeff is Programme Leader for BSc (Hons) Business with Digital Marketing and BSc (Hons) Business with Media Communications. He is passionate about digital marketing, communications, employability, graduate outcomes, digital capability and skills, micro-credentials, and mentoring.

He is an award-winning digital marketing & sports marketing tutor, prize-winning academic author, 5x award-winning running blogger, and achieved 3x world firsts with digital e-catalogues (2003-2009). One of the very first marketers to receive the IDM CPD Award (Feb 2006). 

He joined LJMU in 2026 after nearly 17 years at Manchester Met University where he was Faculty Graduate Outcomes and Alumni Lead, and Faculty Employability co-Lead, for the Faculty of Business and Law (FoBL). In that time he was also a Programme Leader on bespoke digital marketing programmes and the world's first AMBA accredited global online MBA. 

His industry background is as a senior digital marketing specialist. Since 1996 he has worked in E-commerce, digital and direct marketing in B2B and B2C environments. Skills include social media marketing, e-catalogues, digital publishing & magazines, email marketing, SEO, PPC, mobile marketing, affiliate, CRM/database marketing. Jeff has a particularly strong track record in sports marketing with over 35 football clubs, sports brands, sporting organisations and governing bodies. Other sectors include charity, mail order, retail, B2B, online gaming & sports betting.
