BIOGRAPHY
Dr Jade Ward is a research fellow within the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences. Her research investigates thermoregulatory physiology, specifically with the effectiveness of rehydration strategies after prolonged exercise in the cold, through collaborative work with an industry partner, students and colleagues.
Jade completed her BSc in Sport Science and MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Physiology at St Mary’s University, Twickenham.
After completing her MSc, Jade joined the UK Sports Institute for over 4 years as a physiology laboratory technician. During her time at the Institute, her role developed into a position as a rehab scientist working in the Intensive Rehabilitation Unit, supporting athletes' return to training and competition after injury, and as a Physiologist with GB Hockey, delivering the heat acclimation project for both the male and female senior squad and staff members leading up to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
