BIOGRAPHY
Emilia Bona is a Teaching Fellow in Journalism.
After graduating with a Politics degree from the University of Edinburgh, Emilia trained at New Associates in Manchester, where she received the Archant Award for Essential Journalism.
Emilia worked in regional and national newsrooms for a decade, as a reporter and editor for titles including The Liverpool ECHO and The Daily Mirror. Her investigations and long-form storytelling at the ECHO saw her awarded Young Reporter of the Year at the O2 Media Awards and nominated for several Regional Press Awards.
Emilia hosts Liverpool FC fan podcast The Anfield Wrap and produces freelance features for VICE.
Emilia is especially interested in investigative journalism, court reporting, social media storytelling, long-form feature writing, political reporting and podcasting.
