BIOGRAPHY
Dr Xiaoxian Zhu is an Associate Professor and Programme Leader (UG B&M) at Liverpool Business School. She specialises in international HRM in high-tech industries and regional development. Dr Zhu is the Chair of CIPD Tees Valley (since 2023) and a subject examiner of international examining bodies. For her academic performance in this field, she has a good record of high quality public presentations in the UK and internationally, publications and research funding. She is a Distinguished Professor at Xi'an International University since April 2018 and a Visiting Professor at Zhejiang University of Technology, China.
Dr Zhu has extensive teaching experience in Human Resource Management and Business Management across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. She has held a range of senior academic leadership roles, including Principal Lecturer (Research and Innovation), Principal Lecturer (International), Head of Department, and Programme Leader for MBA, MA HRM, DBA, and PhD programmes at universities in the UK and internationally.
She has also contributed to leading UK institutions through her work on online MBA and MSc HRM programmes. Prior to her academic career, Dr Zhu gained industry experience as an HR Manager and later as a Marketing Manager at a multinational automotive company in the FT Global 500.
